Milan Vuković named climber of the week in TCR World Ranking
Milan Vuković, a Vuković Motorsport driver, achieved significant progress in the TCR World Ranking after his victory and fifth-place finish at Hungaroring. The Swiss racer, driving a Renault Mégane, climbed 333 positions and now ranks 306th. René Kircher has entered the top 50, and Maťo Homola is on the verge of breaking into the top 20.
The race weekend at Hungaroring produced several key results for TCR Eastern Europe drivers in the world ranking. Vuković’s last race took place in Poznań in 2022, causing him to drop significantly in the ranking. However, his win in Hungary propelled him from the 639th position to 306th.
René Kircher from Mertel Motorsport, another winner at Hungaroring, competed in TCR Germany last year and has been steadily ascending toward the top 100. Great results at Oschersleben this year advanced him to 84th place, and following his performance at Hungaroring, he now occupies the 42nd spot.
Hyundai Janík Motorsport driver Maťo Homola finished third and fourth last weekend, leading to further progress in the ranking. He moved up seven places and now holds the 22nd position, his highest ranking to date.
In addition to Homola and Kircher, Petr Čížek of Expres Auto Racing is the third driver from TCR Eastern Europe in the world’s top 50. After the Hungaroring, he sits in 50th place, having gained 18 positions.
